The Corvette has been the only American made dream car for over forty years. Ever since this car rolled off the assembly line American's have praised it as their best. In recent years, the only US made car that can compare is the Dodge Viper. Corvettes are V8 powered and are relatively affordable next to imported competition. The new vette can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in about 4.6 seconds making it a mean machine comparable to Ferrari's. The thing that sets it off from foreign models is the quality of design. The interiors are not done as laboriously by hand and the car is assembled on a typical assembly line. But no other US built dream car has ever captured as much attention from Americans.
