Nick-named as the Baby-Benz, the Mercedes A-Class is a smaller car that should give the German industrial concern more credibility in a market that’s slowly becoming environmentally conscious. The A-Class is a ‘car of the future’, suitable for a whole range of uses. The A-Class made its debut in 1997, and since then 750,000 units have rolled off the production line. The engine on the A-Class is beneath the driver and passengers, making the vehicle exceptionally tall at 63 inches. It weighs only 2,458 pounds but can fit 12.4 cubic feet of cargo. This is the smallest and least expensive Mercedes that you will find. Mercedes is using this car to broaden its reach into a younger market. It has not yet been made available to people in the United States.
