The A8 is powered by a 4.2-liter, 300-h.p., 32-valve V-8 partnered with a 5-speed automatic with Tiptronic technology. Also available with a smaller 3.7-liter V8. This is a great car with all-aluminum, all-wheel-drive, all-equipped sedan with a five-valve, 310 hp DOHC V8 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. The Audi A8 adds an L model for 2001 that increases wheelbase and overall length by about 130 mm, and rear-seat room by a similar amount.
